Arranging a Funeral

In the event of a death contact an undertaker who will do much of the arranging, planning and contacting for you.

One of the priests of the parish will assist you in the preparation of the funeral liturgy for your loved one. In the event of a Requiem Mass for the one who has died you may wish to arrange the following:

1. two readers to proclaim the Word of God

2. one or a number of readers for the Prayers of Intercession

3. two people to present the gifts of bread and wine at the offertory of the Mass

4. a cantor to lead the hymns and an organist.
